This text is the web counterpart of the agreement you approve during registration inside the app. The in-app text is versioned; when the version changes, your approval is requested again in the app.

1. Parties and scope

This agreement governs the conditions for the use of the collective book-writing service, between the Story Circle platform and the user who becomes a member of the platform. By opening an account you accept these terms.

2. Content licence

The copyright in every chapter you write remains yours. You grant Story Circle a non-exclusive licence to publish, list and promote that content on the platform. In fan fiction works, it is the user’s responsibility to comply with the copyright limits of the source work.

Once you have published a chapter, that chapter becomes a node of a shared work: other authors can write continuation chapters beneath it. For that reason a published chapter cannot be unilaterally removed from the work; even if you delete your account, the chapter remains in anonymised form (see Privacy Policy, section 5).

3. Content rules and automatic review

Every submitted chapter passes through automatic (AI-assisted) analysis against the platform content policy before it is published. No chapter is published without approval from that analysis. For flagged content you have the right to correct it and resubmit, to cancel the submission, or to appeal for human review.

What is prohibited on the platform includes:

Illegal content and incitement to acts that constitute a crime
Any kind of content relating to the sexual abuse of children
Hate speech, harassment, personal attacks and bullying
Sharing another person’s personal information without permission
Copyright infringement
Spam and automated behaviour that abuses the platform

You can report chapters, comments, books and users; you can block users. Reports are reviewed by platform moderators.

4. Writing and the lock system

Whoever starts writing an open chapter first locks it. There is no turn order, queue, assignment or reservation; a chapter is not set aside for anyone and is not handed from one person to another. The lock is valid for a fixed period; if the period expires, the chapter opens to everyone again and what you have written up to that point stays with you as a draft.

The person who creates the book is its owner: they assess join requests, manage the characters, and decide on revision requests made to published chapters. The book owner cannot arbitrarily change the text another author has delivered.

5. Coin

A coin is an in-platform unit only; it is spent as the cost of creating a book. It has no real-money value, it cannot be transferred and it cannot be refunded.

6. Your account and termination

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app at any time. The consequences of deletion are explained in detail in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.

In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these terms, your account may be suspended or closed. In such a case, a reason is given as far as possible and a route of appeal is kept open.

7. Provision of the service

The service is provided “as is”. It is not guaranteed to work without interruption or without error. We reserve the right to make changes to the content of the platform, to its features and to these terms; important changes are announced inside the app.

8. Governing law

These terms are subject to the law of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Türkiye have jurisdiction in disputes.
